Satori Academy - GET COACHED BY THE 2009 UK NATIONAL CHAMPIONS

Satori team members have a combined experience of over 60 years coaching and competing in our sport. More than 19,000 skydives and thousands of hours coaching and team training in the wind tunnel. The individuals have achieved great results over the years including winning World & National championships, and a number of British and World Records.

Satori Academy offers coaching programs that follow a comprehensive and well-designed curriculum which will enable every skydiver to improve their skills much faster than through weekend jumping alone.

Team members have been coached by the best skydivers and competitors in the world. We are able to pass on our learning, knowledge and experience, enabling teams to maximise their training sessions, at the tunnel or in the sky. Satori are available for coaching on request, for one on one, 2 way and 4 way coaching both in the tunnel and at all drop zones including abroad. 2009/2010 Coaching Events

We have a number of coaching events working in conjuction with Skydive Hibaldstow and Skydive Spain coming up throughout 2009 / 2010. When we are training we are still offering free coaching to teams training alongside us.

Basic Skills Camp 16th - 18th October 2009
Team Satori are running a basic skills camp designed for individuals looking to enhance their FS skills with proven and most up to date FS techniques. Individuals need to be CAT 8 and above and are looking to achieve their FS1 qualification and/or enhance their FS skills further. The course is being run over 3 days and will be geared around 2 days of 1 on 1 and one day of 4 way. Each participant will receive good quality and in depth coaching using the BPA FS Manual structure written by members of Team Satori. There will be a structure for the course but coaches will adapt depending on the individual requirements and goals. This course will be taking place at Skydive Spain. Price includes 15 coached jumps and video on all 4 way at a 969.00 euros!!!
4 Way Skills camp - 17th - 21st December - Skydive Spain,Seville - 25 Coached Jumps with Satori Member and Video
Team Satori are running a 4 way skills camp designed for skydivers that already have their FS1 qualification but are looking to enhance their FS 4 way skills further with coaches that teach, and use the most up to date 4 way techniques. We will be catering for all levels and experience in 4 way, and our goal will be to match everyone with similar abilities to ensure everyone gets the most out of the course. The course is being run over 5 days and all 4 way groups will include one member of Team Satori within the 4 way group and all jumps will be filmed. At the beginning of the course each individual’s short and long term goals will be discussed, and throughout the course we will review and update the progress according to the goals that have been set. The number of jumps will be roughly 5 way jumps per day and will include a thorough brief and debrief for each jump. This is a much needed course for people look to get more out of their money and themselves when jumping, with the most current and progressive team in the UK. This event promises to be great fun, with loads of progression! 25 coached jumps all to include a member of Satori and video at an amazing price of €1269.00! "We decided to use the Satori Academy dates at Skydive Spain as our first training camp as a new team. During the 4 days we spent with Satori we covered everything we needed to improve as a 4-way team. This included flying skills, how to creep effectivly, exits, team dynamics and how to debrief without killing each other. "These guys (and girls!) Rock! We had an awesome time and not only did we learn loads, but we had loadsa fun aswell doing it! We mainly got coached by Julia and Aaron.. and I can tell you now there is not much that they don't know about 4-way and flying your body! They took us from a bunch of undisciplined individuals to something more resembling a team in only a few days! (If you know Unagi you will understand how difficult this must have been!! ) it goes beyond just the flying. They really established a good ground routine (creeping/dirtdiving etc.) with us which made us much more efficient, enabling us to get much more out of every days' training. You also get the feeling that,during coaching, they really care about your team or individual progression and take pride in what they do...not just there to do a job... they do it because they have a passion for the sport. Team Unagi - 2009 British Nationals Single A Gold - Aug 09

Even after our training camp and while they were busy with their own training, we always got useful tips whenever we asked for advise during our training at the same DZ.

First of all congratulations on such an awesome competition at the nationals - a bloody fantastic result and setting new UK record must have been the icing on the cake! I wanted to thank you for all your help over 2009 coaching Unagi. We were thrilled not only to win our category but to win every UKSL competition too - who'd have thought the unruly bunch of flyers that your were presented with at the beginning of the season could have achieved that! I can't recommend the Satori academy highly enough. Not only did we get the very best of coaching but we got it when we trained in Seville and Hibaldstow, which are among the very best DZ's to train at. The coaching itself was well constructed with achievable goals and most of all fun.
